Duration of study: Classes of undergraduate study of Sea Fisheries last three years or 6 semesters, and by it at least 180 ECTS points are acquired.
Academic title: Upon completion of undergraduate study a title of a Bachelor/Bachelorette (baccalaureus/baccalaurea) of Sea Fisheries is acquired.
Competences acquired upon completion of study: A Bachelor/Bachelorette of Sea Fisheries is educated and enabled for expert work in fishing, farming, processing and trade of fish and other marine organisms and management of their deterioration, for management and protection of living marine resources, for design and construction of fishing tools, for technological design of facilities for processing and preservation of sea products, breeding of fish and other marine organisms, for making the technological requirements for the design and construction of fishing vessels, for expert work in scientific and educational organizations dealing with marine research and its living wealth, for education of fisheries staff in schools, for work in administrative bodies dealing with issues of fisheries, for expert work in marine activities of the Inspection of fisheries, protection of the sea and its living resources, for work in economic and commercial chambers, and on all other matters that relate to activities of fisheries and management of its living resources.
A Bachelor/Bachelorette of Sea Fisheries is qualified to resume study at the graduate studies in biotechnical sciences, in the field of agronomy, biotechnology and food technology, and studies in natural sciences, in the field of biology.
