By the successful cooperation of the Croatian (Pero Tutman and Jakov Dulčić from the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries in Split, and Branko Glamuzina from the University of Dubrovnik) and German scientists (Jörg Freyhof – Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries from Berlin and Matthias Geiger – Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig, Leibniz Institute for Animal Biodiversity from Bonn) described a new freshwater species of fish - the Šoljan brook lamprey – Lampetra soljani from the lower Neretva River in the Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.....
