Distribution of some trace metals in the Mediterranean waters off the Nile Delta

Abstract

       Thirtyseven water samples were collected from the Me­diterranean waters off the Egyptian coast and analysed for dissolved (0.45 µm) and particulate trace metals, As, Cd, Co, Fe and Mn. On the whole the total concentrations of these metals in the study area were of comparable magnitude with their levels in other Mediterranean regions.
