Catalogue of the Polychaetous Annelids of the Adriatic Sea

Abstract

        This catalogue contains a taxonomic list of 447 species of Polychaetous Annelids. The data are compiled from the literature which is dealing with this group in the area of Northern and Central Adriatic. The nomenclature of  O. H a r t m a n (1959, 1965) has been used. The name of each species is followed by data on the description of the species, and on synonims as well as findings concerning the Adriatic area.

        The relatively large number of species cited gives a more complete picture about the fauna of Polychaetous in the Northern and Central Adriatic.
