Radioecological investigations of the Vir Sea (Adriatic Sea)

Abstract

      The total beta activity was determined in 114 samples and the data are presented as wet weight, percentage of dry weight, total beta activity and half-time decreases in radioactivity.

       The differential gamma analysis, performed on 80 samples, indicated the presence of artificial radionuclides of different origin: nuclear plant effluents, stratosferic radioactive waste materials, corrosion materials.
